I love secrets! The best way to tell a secret on livejournal is this: Comment with your secret, then quickly delete your comment. The comment will still be sent to the journal owner's email. Of course, this only works when the person has the email comments feature turned on.
I wonder if this is too self centered of a quiz, but I think sometimes your friends want to comment and just don't know what to say. That's why we get so many meme's floating around that give people instructions about how to respond. I like the idea that in this quiz everyone gets different instructions so you get a variety of answers. Also as it passes around between people who are all on each other's friends list, they may not get tired of it so quickly since they will probably be asked to do something different in everyone's journal. |

The journal pass works similarly to the mix tape pass, only you won't be able to send everyone copies at the end. You will be able to scan some of the pages though and post them in your journal. Again, everyone will get the cocoa and marshmellows feeling of having contributed to a project and seeing their work "hanging up" in your journal along side of other people's work.
Again, there is the problem of the limited space to write directions, so I am afraid they are not as clear as I would like them to be. Any suggestions? |

Taking a cue from my previous quiz, Make Mail Art for your LiveJournal Friends, I decided to zero in on one of the outcomes; make a mixtape pass for (random livejournal friend). Wouldn't it be great if you passed around a cassette tape and random people on your friends list each added a song? When it came back to you, you would be able to post the track list in your journal and everyone would get that happy feeling from seeing their name and their contribution in your LJ. Then if you are tech savy (which I am not) you can record the cassette tape to the computer and burn it onto cdr's, mailing a copy to everyone who contributed. You will definately not be just another person on someone's friends list after they get their mix cd. Plus your friends will kind of get to know each other a little, and that's a good thing too, right?
Of course, every silver lining has it's clouds. There are a couple of problems I can forsee happening with this quiz. One of them is that since the quiz picks livejournal friends randomly to participate in projects, someone may get picked twice, three times, or all eight times. Solutions: retry the test until you have eight people from your friends list, let the person whose name came up twice contribute two songs, pick one of your lj friends to join the project if someone happens to be randomly selected twice.
Another potential problem with this quiz is that there is no place to write any more than the briefest instructions on the quiz itself, so I hope that it is not confusing for anyone who is not familiar with common mail art projects such as this one. Are the directions confusing? You can be honest. |

This is my first official mail art quiz. I plan to make many more. Bringing mail art and the live journal friends list together is one of my main goals. I've noticed that those who participate in mail art experience live journal a little differently than those who do not. They tend to have the addresses of the people on their friends list, who they comminicate with not only by comments, but with cards, letters, packages, even phone calls and visits. It makes having a live journal a little nicer. Also it helps you to form real friendship connections, rather than just having friends on your list that don't even know you. The random element of these quizzes is important because everyone on your list has an equal shot at being chosen for/ invited into a mail art project, so maybe it'll be the spark that brings together you and that quiet or esoteric friend that you don't interact with much. |

No, these are not the same quiz. In case you aren't familiar with blogquiz.net, where I make my quizes, you are only given the opportunity to have a maximum total of eight results to a quiz. I thought of more results to this quiz than I had room for so I made two versions. At this point, my quizzes are really starting to get you involved with the people on your friends list by sending them emails, mail art, making posts about them, and all that good stuff.
I wonder how effective these are in getting people to connect with their friends list. If it worked for you, let me know. |

These were just meant to be fun. Really. It's not like I had a secret agenda of making quizzes that I thought people would like in order to get more popular so everyone would take a look at my other quizzes *shifty eyes*... Haha seriously, I think if I were doing that, I'd have to make quizzes about cult favorites with huge fan bases, like the movie Labyrinth. Actually, that's not a bad idea (mental note). |

This is my second most popular quiz at blogquiz, for reasons that might be obvious. Everyone is interested in attraction. It's the kind of quiz I would imagine that people keep taking until they get the "right" results, and then post them to see what others think. It's a blameless way to tell the people on your friends list how attracted to them you are. If they are unhappy with the results, too bad, it was all "random." But if they are happy, they may drop a hint about how attracted they are to you in return *wink*... |

Although out of date, this is currently my most popular quiz at blogquiz.net. Probably because love related quizzes in general are one of the most popular kinds. Everyone seems to want to post love quizzes that involve their friends list because the results are random, so you can't be blamed for putting love and that cute person on your friends list in the same senstence, but your post may elicit a response from said cutie, giving you an idea of where you stand with him/her.
Or the cause of its popularity could be that Valentine's Day has just passed. I expect this quiz will pick up again in Febuary 2006, but hopefully I will have written a much better V Day quiz by then. |
